The Christmas Hero’s Trunk: FoodHero and Leo Autopartage Join Forces to Support the Community

In a spirit of solidarity true to the holiday season, FoodHero and Leo Autopartage are launching “The Christmas Hero’s Trunk,” an initiative designed to support families in need as the holidays approach.

On November 28, from 2 p.m. , Montrealers are invited to take part in a non-perishable food drive at IGA Famille Déziel Jarry. The challenge is simple: fill the trunk of a Leo car with the donations collected. All food items will be donated to Centre des Femmes de Convictions de Montréal, giving several families the chance to share a festive and comforting meal.

Prizes will also be offered on-site to thank participants for their generosity.

About the Centre des Femmes de Convictions de Montréal

The Centre des Femmes de Convictions de Montréal is a community organization dedicated to supporting, guiding, and empowering women, particularly those facing vulnerable situations. It offers a range of essential services—from food assistance to psychosocial support—aimed at promoting inclusion, safety, and well-being among its members.

A Partnership Rooted in Sustainability and Solidarity

Recently partnered, FoodHero and Leo Carsharing share a common vision: encouraging more sustainable, responsible, and community-minded lifestyles.

FoodHero, a Quebec-based app that combats food waste, helps thousands of consumers save money every day while reducing their environmental footprint.

Leo Autopartage offers a shared mobility solution that helps reduce the number of personal vehicles on the road, greenhouse gas emissions, and the environmental impact of urban travel.

By combining their expertise, the two companies demonstrate that caring for the planet can go hand in hand with caring for the community.

A Call for Generosity

Through “The Christmas Hero’s Trunk,” FoodHero and Leo Autopartage hope to inspire a simple yet meaningful gesture.

“The Christmas Hero’s Trunk is more than a food drive. It’s a concrete way to encourage the community to take action with a gesture that is both simple and meaningful,” says Anaïs Boyer-Lafrenière, Communications and Marketing Lead at Leo Autopartage.

“Together, we want to remind everyone that every small donation helps build a powerful collective impact,” adds Annabelle Boucher, Marketing Manager at FoodHero.
